Submit a mod
A finished mod can be listed on the site’s download page. Submitting happens entirely on GitHub, so you need a GitHub account.
Open the submission form- 1
Get the package ready
Try it in the game first. Packages exported from the web makers already have the right format; for one made by hand, follow Installing and making: the file is named
<id>-<version>.srw64modandmod.jsonhas alicense. The part of theidbefore the dot is your author prefix, and your first submission ties it to your GitHub account. - 2
Publish it on a GitHub Release
Create a Release on a repository under your own account, upload the
.srw64modto it, and copy the file’s download link. - 3
Fill in the form
Give the download link, say what the package changes and who made its material, and tick the three confirmations.
Open the submission form - 4
Wait for the review
The result goes on the Issue. An accepted package appears on the download page, marked Community.
What gets listed
- Everything in the package is yours to pass on, under one of these licenses:
CC-BY-4.0CC-BY-SA-4.0CC-BY-NC-4.0CC-BY-NC-SA-4.0CC0-1.0MITGPL-3.0-or-later - No data from the original ROM.
- No commercial music or soundtrack audio, such as the original anime’s songs. Packages like that are for your own use only.
- The file is 100 MB or smaller.
Once it’s listed
- The file
- It stays on your Release, and the site only links to it. If you delete the Release or the file, the download stops working.
- Updates
- Publish a new Release with a higher version number and fill in the form again from the same account. Don’t replace a file already published.
- Taking it down
- Leave a comment on your original submission Issue.
- Net disks
- I choose which packages get a mirror on the Chinese net disks, so not every package will have one.
